Bikers and boots galore start DWI's 2012

DWI Fans,

I hope that the new year is finding you in good health and good fortune. The year ahead promises to be another great one for DWI. I, for one, am looking forward to many new and exciting developments in 2012.

First, we just finished up our shows at Gibtown Bike Week, and what a fantastic time that was! Four days of action brought great matches from Jerome Hendrix, Rey Ayala, First Degree, The Highwaymen, the Franchise Players, Donnie Abel, Lightning Monroe, Anthony Devlin, Travis "The Wolf" Taylor, and others. A battle royal win granted Rob Venomous a title shot against Hendrix, but Hendrix retained. The Franchise Players' manager Stormie ended up involved in a match when she assaulted Ferrari and had to take to the ring (and outside it) in a 6-person intergender tag team match. Make sure to visit our friends at Born to Ride TV/Magazine and Cycleshotz.com for some exclusive coverage of the events. You may even notice yours truly served as a special guest ring announcer the last two days of the event.

Next, I am looking forward to our return to action at the Riverview Flea Market on January 29th. We are expecting many great matches. Donnie York feels he had his title shot stolen by Donnie Abel because his knee went out in their match for a shot at the junior championship and York wants revenge. Their last battle ending in a no contest, Ferrari and Jessie Belle Smothers continue their feud in a One Fall to a Finish match. The mysterious Black Mask seeks to capture his first DWI gold in a Junior Heavyweight Championship contest against titleholder Prestin Caine. Additionally, Rey "The Shooter" Ayala is looking to dethrone current DWI Heavyweight Champion Jerome Hendrix in a Best 2 of 3 Falls match. I hope you can all come out and see us. Finally, I want to take the time to bring up a very important subject. We all enjoy our time with friends, but it is important to know when to call it a day. Please, for the sake of your family, friends, and neighbors, do not drink and drive. I can guarantee you that a taxi is a heck of a lot cheaper than a lawyer, fines, and insurance costs, not to mention the damage that can be inflicted on the lives of others. We want to make sure all of our fantastic fans and wrestlers can come back and be with us again and again in the years to come.
